General Conduct Rules for Students

  • Greet everyone.
  • Move quietly and behave in an orderly manner along corridors and staircases.
  • Reach school by 8.40a.m.
  • Be respectful to teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Avail leave only after prior submission of leave letter.
  • Attendance is compulsory on Independence, Republic, Sports and Annual day and during any school events.
  • Handle all school equipment and properties with care.
  • Keep the class rooms and school premises clean.
  • Engage in safe play.
  • Electronic gadgets are strictly forbidden and if found, it will be confiscated immediately.
  • Conversing in English is mandatory in school.
  • Money transaction among students is not allowed.
  • Bring hand book to school every day.

ATTIRE AND APPEARANCE

All students must be dressed neatly in full school uniform.

BOYS

  • Hair must be neat and cut short.
  • Earrings or ear studs are not allowed.
  • Nails must be kept short and clean.

GIRLS

  • Hair must not be tainted or dyed.
  • Long hair must be neatly tied in a ponytail or plait.
  • Wearing of make-up is not allowed.
  • Nails must be kept short and clean without nail polish.

HOUSE SYSTEM

  • All co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and competitions will be held on the basis of four houses.
  • Points will be calculated and at the end of the academic year, students will be honored.

ATTENDANCE

  • 90% attendance is compulsory. No student should be absent herself / himself from the classes without obtaining permission from the class teacher.
  • In case prior permission is not obtained, the leave letter should be submitted the next day.
  • For medical leave, the student should submit the leave letter along with medical certificate. It should be informed to the Principal.
  • Leave record should be maintained in the diary too.

TESTS AND EXAMINATIONS

  • Terminal exams (I Term, II Term and III Term) will be conducted and Assessment will be made for each term. Assessment record has to be signed by parents after exam as on the dates given in the diary.
  • Slip test will be conducted weekly and Assessment will be recorded in the diary. Parents should note the marks and sign. Parents should sign the answer scripts and ensure that performance has been noted.

ATTENTION TO PARENTS

  • Parents and teachers are partakers in the education process. Parents have a responsibility to support the school by ensuring that their children follow the instructions of the school.
  • Parents are requested to co-operate with the school authorities by monitoring the daily portions and homework.
  • Make sure that the children participate in the school activities actively and enthusiastically.
  • Parents are expected to note and sign the results of tests / examinations or any notification.
  • Parents are allowed to meet the class / subject teachers between 4.45 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. on 2nd Fridays.
  • Parents are welcome to meet the Principal with prior permission after the school hours.
  • Parents are requested not to take away or disturb their children during the school hours.
  • Parents are requested not to send their students wearing expensive jewellery.
  • The school is not responsible for loss of money or any other costly things that the students bring to the school.
  • School office should be intimated immediately about the change of address through class teacher.
  • Parents are requested to send their children on time to the school.
  • A child suffering from any contagious disease should be sent to school only after complete recovery.
  • Parents have to see the diary daily and note the communications – Circular, Home work, Notes of teacher to Parents, Test Time Table, Portions and Assessment Record.
  • All communications between Parents and Teachers should be made through the diary only.
  • Government declared holidays will be holidays and the school will remain closed. Phone calls will not be entertained on these days.
