Sri National School is in Gobichettipalayam - a small developing town in Erode district of Tamilnadu .
We invite volunteers from across the globe to participate in our Teach English programme and help the students of this rural school to speak English with ease and confidence.
What does this program include
- Eat meals prepared from locally grown veggies and served on a banana leaf.
- Visit the Great Chola temples which date back to the 10th Century
- Take a stroll in the turmeric fields.
- Learn about silk weaving .
- Watch a Rajanikanth movie and celebrate a local cult hero!
- Drink strong coffee in a Tamil style .
- Meet tribal villagers in the Nilgiris and learn about centuries old customs
- Spend 8 amazing months teaching English to first generation English learners.
- Learn Tamil- the oldest known language in the world. (2 hours weekly)
- Rs.10,000 - 15000 monthly living allowance
- Accommodation & meals will be provided.
- Teach 5 classes daily only for kindergarten and grade 1&2. (40 minutes per class)
- Teach phonics and converse in English .
- Teach spoken English to teachers.
- Minimum 8 months placement.
